Navigating through lockdown
As the impact of COVID 19 progressively increased, employees worldwide were sent home. Startups were no different as priorities had to be shifted as we all embraced our new digital “social distancing” work/home environments.
We at FoldErGo are no exception. While our ultimate mission remains to produce a safe scooter, the safety of our employees is of utmost priority – above all else. BUT this does not mean that progress has come to a halt! Quite the contrary, in fact!
In the last couple of months, FoldErGo has made great strides. It could be due to the fact that we are all a bunch of digital enthusiasts at heart, enjoying the fine art of tuning of our various communication methods such as Zoom, Skype and Trello to hold onto that personal connection with each other.
Our main challenge, though, has been with the delivery of our components to allow us to complete our FoldErGo prototype #3. Our manufacturing partners have also been taking safety measures, such as fewer on-site workers at one time, which has significantly stalled production.
Latest news
Aside from the delay in the production of FoldErGo prototype #3, we have still managed to achieve some key milestones during the last couple of months:
We finalized the technical drawings of our FoldErGo scooter, along with the FEM ( final element method) testing. These are needed for preparing the scooter for serial production, so we are thrilled to have this completed.
We’ve made significant progress on shaping our brand image to match best our future customers’ needs and values.
We’ve also made solid progress in preparing our Kickstarter campaign which we expect to go live within the next couple of months.
Moving forward, we are already brainstorming on cool accessories for the FoldErGo scooter. One idea we are presently designing is a handy 2-in1 lamp with battery housing. If you have some great ideas for us to explore, we’d love to hear about them! You can reach us at office@foldergo.com or visit our Facebook page
Thanks for reading all about our progress. We look forward to sharing more exciting news with you in the very near future, so stay tuned!
